I'm usually reading more than one book at a time, not counting books that I'm re-reading... right now four books hold my attention, two of which I've read before. One I want to tell you about; you might recognize the author from the deviations series and that will also tell you why I bought it. No wait, that tells you how I found it. Why did I buy

*nods nods* It's great! I place it in the same timeline category as "Edward, Edward", even though I don't know when exactly this story takes place. Not that it matters. The chapter after the afore mentioned quote? Has hot sweaty mansex. Sadly, it does not have flogging, but if I only wanted to read about men hitting other men with floggers, I could go and re-read the deviation series.
I'm loving the book. XD
Also? The book claims that even in times of gentlemen, footmen and valets there were pornographic picture books, which I think is true (I mean, there's pornography far older than that). I like the idea.

So...clarify for me: footmen and valets were -in- pornographic picture books, or footmen and valets were -metaphorical- pornographic picture books? Either way, I feel a new uniform fetish coming on.

No, it's a book from a time when there were valets and footmen. Incidentally, Edward is having sex with a footman. And *almost* with a stableboy, bot he got interrupted by that evil marriage proposal that wasn't really a proposal but blackmailing. Aside from that, there are pornographic picture books in Edward's library. You can't really tell if the men pictured in that book are valets or footmen because they're mostly naked. And sometimes engaged in sexual activities to which Edward masturbates.
All that within in the first 60 pages!

Basically, this book is perfect for those who found "Edward, Edward" had too many historical details and too much story featuring not enough mansex (or too much incest). It's like a companion piece: you're in the mood for the time period and just need the juicy parts to sprice things up. :D

Wenn du Drama und uuuunglaublich tiefgreifende Stories willst: dann nicht. Aber der Plot ist trotzdem nett und gut gefüllt mit good stuff. Ich war zufrieden und hab's binnen eines Tages (220 Seiten is ja net lang) ausgelesen. :3

Hm, ist dieses Buch empfehlenswerter als die anderen von diesem Autor? Hab mich immer noch nicht entschieden, welches Buch aus diesem Themenkreis ich lesen will, und das hier tönt toll!

Mir hat's gefallen, aber es hat weniger aus dem Bereich D/s als die deviantions Reihe. Wenn du da Details haben willst, empfehle ich dir eher die, aber An Agreement Among Gentlemen hat definitiv seinen Charme, schon wegen der Epoche. <3 Wenn man es aber vor allem auf Geschichten aus dieser Zeit abgesehen hat, die diese Stimmung mehr rüber bringen, wär Edward, Edward womöglich interessanter. Kommt drauf an, was du willst. :3
