The difference between my cats in a nutshell:

When two guys came around with a compressor and a high-pressure hose to clean dirt off the side of the apartment building, Misty jumped out of the chair by the window to run away and hide. (I think she's under the bed.) Stormy ran TO the window to see what was going on.

This is one of Stormy's favorite new places to sit...

One last photo post. This is one I put together while ago to post on the cat forum. I was feeling bad because so many of my pictures are of Stormy, since she's my troublemaker.

So I put this together. Some of these I've posted before... but hey, they're still cute and fluffy.

It's POURING rain outside. I opened the door to let some fresh air in, and Stormy came over to investigate. Then lightening flashed and a gust of rain blew in, and she scampered back onto the safety of the rug ( Read more... )

Want to drive a cat nuts?

Open three cans of clams at about kitty dinner time (but before kitties have eaten). Then tell them the lovely, fishy-smelling contents are Not For Kitties.

(Then feel guilty as they stare longingly at you and feed the kitties their dinner.)

Misty seemed to be feeling playful and I knew I had a feather wand toy I hadn't tried in a while stored in the front closet. So, I opened the closet and reached in to get it.

Misty was halfway to the bedroom before she realized I wasn't going for the vacuum.

Poor cat is developing a persecution complex...

There's a local restaurant that give out Dum Dum lollipops (you know, the cheap little ones with the round heads). Both Misty and Stormy love playing with them. I'm not sure why. Maybe because they clatter and slide like hard objects, but you can still use the stick to pick them up and carry them? Maybe they don't roll quite evenly? Who knows ( Read more... )

I was watching the "Jungle" episode of Planet Earth this weekend. There's a segment on birds of paradise that was apparently very, very interesting.
