GISHWHES was BY FAR the best part of my year last year. Not only did I get up to wacky hijinks in the name of a scavenger hunt but I met some amazing people while doing so!

GISHWHES 2012 is rolling around the corner. Registration has not yet opened but several things HAVE been announced so far:

1) This year, we get teams of 15 players.

I would like to second this motion and urge y'all to sign up.

GISHWHES was a ridiculously great experience last year, and I can't wait to do it again! I still have video kicking about of us getting the ODDEST looks in a Wal-Mart, and the Justin Bieber doll (minus a third of his lower lip) occupies a place of pride on my mantle. Also, Winged forgot to post the picture of the three-foot tall seagull I made out of tampons.

Yes, you read that right.

Moving on, as additional motivation, Winged also neglected to tell you about the world record certificate that's hanging on the wall of my bedroom as a result: Participation in the World's Largest Scavenger Hunt!

Basically GISHWHES is a wild, exhilarating, liberating, and flat-out crazy joyride of a week, and if you're thinking about joining in, you are more than welcome on our team!

HOW DID I FORGET TO MENTION THAT THIS IS A WORLD-RECORD SCAVENGER HUNT?

If y'all wouldn't mind someone who might be pretty busy for part of Halloween weekend, I would totally be on your team! I can at least commit to doing a lot of the little things.

If a resume is desired, I have pictures somewhere of myself with a gold-covered toilet plunger, a Shakira made of coffee beans, and the desecration of public street signage :D

I think that would be great - every little bit helps! Do you know anyone else who wants to take part? I've also heard from a couple other people on Facebook as well as someone via twitter who currently has a group of 5 people so if we don't suddenly have a lot of other volunteers we may join up with them for a full team soon.

I'll check in with some of my teammates from last year! If we do that plus what you have plus that other group, I bet we'd be pretty close to a full 15.
