Thank you very much! I plan on posting a scene or chapter once a week (Tuesday night / Wednesday morning), so keep your eyes open for them. ^__^ This story has been in the works for... at least four years now, and I just now have it to a point where I'm happy enough with it to post it.

Thank you! And yes, it is definitely an art that takes practice. It took me writing a lot of fanfiction with an experienced author as my coauthor, and a lot of swatting from (mostly) patient betas. Without them, I wouldn't be anywhere near the level I currently am.

The horses were fun to come up with. ^__^ I love re-imagining animals for a fantasy setting.

Ooh, I like this. It reminds me a little bit of Tamora Pierce's writing...the worldbuilding you've got going here seems really promising, especially the bits of social customs. The intimacy of cheek kissing vs. cheek rubbing caught my attention for some reason--I find that bit particularly interesting. I look forward to the rest.

Wow, thank you! To be compared to an author like Tamora Pierce is high praise indeed, and not what I was expecting! *blush*

I like that you caught the cheek kissing vs cheek rubbing bit. It's one of those details that was thought up because though the characters are very human-like, at the end of the day, they are more cats than anything else (why they are the way they are will get explained later in this chapter), and cats greet each other by rubbing cheeks. Licking (kissing) is something done out of trust or intimacy, which I carried over into my characters. Kissing on the cheek is seen as very intimate, something usually only done between family or lovers. Areyla likes to give Ash a hard time because she can, and she also loves flirting with him. =P

Something about just kinda reminded me of her writing...random, I know. I thinks it's the way you describe the city.

That makes...a lot of sense, actually. I like that they're actually...like cats, and don't just have ears and a tail for no reason. Can't wait to see the whole backstory behind it. :)
