I thought the versions of the story might be different. >:3 Now it just remains to see which version is true. Personally I'm thinking that neither of them are.

I haven't read your newest worldbuilding yet, so maybe this is addressed there, I don't know. But I wonder--is having a Grand Duke/Grand Duchess in the family a status thing? Does it elevate the family to a higher social status than they would have otherwise?

*sly snicker* Oh, you'll find out which story is true... at the end. ^________^

The Grand Duchess and Grand Duke are the rulers of Fellius, second only to the gods themselves. So yes, having one of them in your family is a HUGE status boost. Everyone in the immediate families of the Grand Duchess and Grand Duke becomes a Duke and gets to move into special manors just outside of the palace, where they live for the length of the current pair's reign. (Hmm, in the social ranks section of world building, I have just their kids end up Dukes... need to go adjust that.) Rosten is a High Marquis, meaning he is the head adviser to the current Grand Duke - one step away from being the leader himself - and he is determined to make it so that Jornen is the next Grand Duke for many selfish reasons.

BTW, I am currently in the middle of a gigglefit over here because every time I go to type duke is comes out duck instead. Silly fingers.

I look forward to it. :)

Rosten sounds like a real fun guy to be around. Right barrel of laughs, he is. His poor wife (and Jornen. Poor Jornen.)

Lol. Stuff like that happens to me so much. The worst it's been was probably in the middle of the April Script Frenzy challange, where I was trying to plan with my collaborator, do a sport, study for exams, and write the script all at once. There was one time I discovered I had inexplicably referred to a character's cigarettes as "boss." I had no memory of doing so. It was...odd, to say the least. And that's not even counting when I try to type on a phone or iPod.

I haven't even really delved into all the evilness that is Rosten, and I already want to take a flamethrower to his tail. Grr grr...

Typing on a phone or iPod can get so funny!!! Go check out http://damnyouautocorrect.com/ if you want to see the hilarious mistakes people make texting on their iPhones. :D
