[This is something he's familiar with, Cross was the presiding priest at the funeral (and pyre) of Suman Dark. He won't ask what this is about, instead he removes his weapons by the door of the church. Laying down arms to show he comes to add his voice to the praying and not to desecrate.

For all his disagreements with God, with the war, and all things - he won't profane making the dead rest. All that's left is his uniform with the red edges and his bandages plainly visible under his shirt and open coat. He approaches quietly and follows the same motions of crossing himself before he kneels down.]

[The footsteps in the church take Cross from his thoughts and he rose to stand. Seeing Tyki Mikk of all people in the church caused a brow to arch in question but he said nothing, simply moving aside to let the other man kneel where he himself had just been a moment before.

He took in the details of the younger man. Uniform that looks distinctly Black Order issued and bandages... This was not the Mikk that had been here before nor the one that had stayed after Rhode left. Moving away, Cross went to a pew, plucking out a Russian text Bible from a pile of broken wood and dirt, brushing it clean with care.]

[The cut of the uniform might be a bit alien, marked and made from materials not familiar to the eras before. But, it is still black and the edges red. His hair is still short, and his body fitter, leaner, and younger by a few years. The only thing he'd kept of the weapons laid down before the entrance of the church is a metal bracer with latches on it, like locks on a door. It's visible when he crosses himself and rises to his feet.

At least this gave him the chance he had needed to reflect on the attack in New York and the betrayal by the Vatican. How many people had died in their bid for power? It made him sick. Then he breaks the silence.] How many?

[The uniform had changed so many times over the years. One reason why the man kept his his own look, even when traveling the world. He had run in to Tyki once before, the hobo always had a certain area he stuck to when traveling with his friends for work. Besides, it was hard to miss someone that looked like a certain Noah when hunting.

All the little differences are observed though, tucked away for later. He would be mulling over a great deal next stay across the river.]

it's less about the religion itself (though he cares less than little about that), and more about. feeling out of place in this kind of establishment. he takes another step back when Cross motions at him.]

[At least he had acquired decent bedding to pad his bed with for the nights he spent here. Though, it was more incentive to leave this damned place all together or at least go across the river to share a comfortable bed with a nice companion.]

He recognizes the church Cross has chosen and quietly makes his way out of the apartment building. It'll take him a little while to get there, but he's quiet and respectful when he finally does poke his head through the door. He's curious about this odd little ritual, and it shows in his expression.]

[Seeing Alma at the door gave Cross a bit of a shock. He hadn't expected the boy to come exploring on his own. The man motioned for Alma to come in before holding out a hand for the younger to take. No need for him to trip over something. Kanda would just bitch forever and a day if that happened.]

[Just quietly watching the ceremony from her end of the feed. She's never been a religious person herself, honestly doesn't know what a church does aside from what she's read in her books. So Rapunzel watches, taking everything in from the limited view of the feed, but she does feel the awe of the dilapidated church, the way it demands silence and respect. Keeping quiet. Yes. Though she has many questions.]

But this world is different.

[Cross hadn't met this one before... He seemed shy and even reminded him of Allen before he had grown a bit of confidence. The hair colour didn't help that much either.

Making his way over to Ruca, the general held out a paper to him. Hand written with a little note about what he was doing and a few prayers written out for those who wouldn't know them. Not everyone here came from a world where there was a Christian religion.]
