For my Sammy, it was the clicker that changed his outlook on life. For the first time, he understood what he was being asked to do. When someone pushes them too hard, it must be so incredibly frustrating for them to not know the difference between 'right' and 'wrong', or even that there is a 'right'. No wonder they act out.
Looks like you two have a great basis for moving forward.

I don't know how some so-called "trainers" survive when they treat horses poorly.
I'm sure Finnegan will be forever grateful for his new lease on life!
