Yeahhh, it's expensive! I didn't realize how much it would be either...just tell them next semester to pay for it, but remember that at the end of the semester most colleges allow you to return them and you'll get some money back then.

I've got a friend studying to be a nurse at the junior college around here. She spent $700 on books this semester because they're updated often and you can't buy used.
They should come with a free gift or something. Perhaps a car.
I don't know what I would have done if I had to buy all new books. Out of all the books I bought, only one of them wasn't used. And it was almost $200 alone.
I definitely agree about the gift. A car would be lovely. Or a house on a coast.
I feel like I am making down payments on something I don't even really want to own in the first place. If anything, they should pay people to attend class.
