Very nice. Very good representation of Denethor. Sometimes I respect him, but I can't help pitying him as well.

I feel similarly about him. There's much in him that's worthy of respect but at the same time, there's so much you feel pity about, and I think the palantir's doing plays some part there.

Yes! Denethor was as headstrong as Boromir - but in that subtly different way, calculating the danger and going in anyway because he's a leader - where Boromir ignores the danger and trusts to his prowess as a warrior - yeah, Fire signs both! Nice variation on shy! *G*

So true so true. That's such an apt description of Denethor! He would definitely have claculated everything and weighed it but gone ahead with what he wnated because he trusts his own judgement.
