Oh, this is delightful in every way! The brotherly snarkiness, combined with the joking/not really joking discussion of theoretical marriages --it's so natural and warm and easy.
There are too many little bits I like to point them all out, but this "But if we are to do nothing, why did you wake me?" Faramir demanded. "To tell you I'd seen elves, of course!.. made me laugh! I feel the same way when people wake me!
And this: No, build her a garden with fountains and bird perches, where she can grow her own flowers and the children can play. *sigh* What a lovely man. :)
Thank you! I'm delighted you liked it for all the reasons I did, and for the reasons I partly struggled with it - I was afraid in the end it would just be all about the snarkiness:o
I feel the same way when people wake me! :)
*sigh* What a lovely man. :) I'm glad again. I kept wondering if I was getting Boromir all right:o)
This is so lovely - such a misty, dreamlike quality to the whole story.
"It is near dawn," he said quietly. He looked oddly disquieted. "I had not realised the passage of time." What a beautiful line, and a perfect description of the entire experience for Boromir.
Oh, what a marvellous contribution to B2MEM this is!
I love the characterisation of the Bros 'Mir, their caring relationship with each other, all the sneaky canon references and fore-shadowing and the little nod to Lewis Carroll.
Great story! I love this line of Boromir very much: "They say that of the ladies in the first circle, too," Boromir murmured. *loooool* That's so typical for Boromir!

I'm very glad the line works... it was one of the firts things that came into place once I sort of figured things out with this one

"And some day an Elf will be queen of Gondor," Faramir muttered

Very well-done!

I was briefly afraid the sneaky canon references would be an overload but I've often been guilty of that ;)
I love Carroll. Alice was right up there for read every summer holiday.

Heh:o Yes, I guess you can trust Boromir to make a comparison that would be that practical:)
