Tangled

“Fool hobbit!” Gandalf groused, viewing the tangled mass Pippin had made of the ropes while packing.

“Let me try,” Boromir suggested.

Within minutes he had the mess unraveled.

“That was swiftly done,” Aragorn commented, “I feared we would need to take a knife to it.”

“I oft had to untangle Faramir’s braids when we were young. Father would not agree to my cutting off the knots and reasonably so.”

“Oh?” Aragorn said in a polite though confused tone.

“Yes, if they were cut, then I couldn’t braid Faramir’s hair again. And if so, I would have to play the Haradrim.”
