XD! Dude, we can't afford to move until the housing market goes back down - we'd get screwed on the capital gains tax, hard and without lube.

I doubt it -- unless you'd really sell with a profit of more than $500K. The laws changed a few years back; now each half of a couple has a $250K max. Since CP owns our current house entirely in his name, we're lucking out with a capital gains that will slide in about 25K shy of the top mark. And, if you're close, you can always add in any expenditures in the previous year or so -- new appliance, windows, carpet, whatever.
