First thing I did was check to see if you could get a batch of imps from this line. The answer is a resounding YES. So, hie thee hence and git you some.

I now have: a full 5ml of Phoenix Steamworks, and imps of Antikythera Mechanism, Robotic Scarab, and Obsidian Widow. If it turns out this line is one that really works for me (which is looking more and more likely) I will simultaneously cheer and curse. *g*

Also? You should really check out Dee.

Yay you!

Belle Epoque was one of the very first BPAL scents I tried. It remains one of my favorites, mainly because it reminds me of a perfume my mother used to wear.

THat is the one of the steamworks I want to try most and now you are the second to give a thumbs-up, so it's on the list.

I love it so far. It's similar to Perversion, but much mellower. Goes just the teeniest bit powdery once it's fully dry, but all vanillas do that on me to some extent.

mmmm. Is the Steampunk line planning to stay around long term, or might it vanish at any moment?

It's a general catalog line, not a limited edition, hence the availability of sample imps. :)

Excellent. I hope that the Scarab's review is just as glowing. (:

Me, too. I really liked it when I sniffed it, but the true test is how it goes on my skin. :)

"It makes me think of a Victorian drawing room, with a gentleman smoking his pipe while his wife sits nearby reading. It's warm and comfortable, and makes me want to go wrap up in a soft dressing gown and relax with a nice hot cuppa."

That's exactly what I'm looking for. <3!

Yay!

If that's the kind of scent you like, I would also suggest trying the following: Dee, Perversion, Severin, and Cathedral.
