Shiki crinkled her nose at the cup of coffee in her hands. It was free from Mr. Hanekoma, but it tasted absolutely horrible.
Mr. H raised an eyebrow at her. “What’s wrong with it?”
“Well, ah…” she stuttered. “It’s not very good.”
He frowned and scratched the back of his head. In all the time his café had been open, he’d never actually made a cup of coffee for anyone.
“I guess that’s why business has been so slow around here.”
“Maybe it just needs some sugar?”
“I think it’ll take more than sugar to fix things,” Mr. H chuckled.
