So I saw Atonement today.

And I have never had such a large range of emotions regarding a movie before.

I didn't cry much the first time, due to shock. Then I saw it again and I bawled like I'd never cried before. And it does make you think! Read the book!

Ayyyyy Melissa, I so wish I'd seen it with you. (The English accents sometimes threw me too, and I felt so super retarded, cause I'm like, dude, this is my language.)

I can see that. If I saw it again, I'd probably bawl too -- don't worry, I'm sure you'll buy the dvd and we can watch it a thousand times in the fall ;)

And I think I'm going to get the book. I can't believe he sent the wrong letter. Stupid boy! And freaking Briony, I really hated her as a kid, but on the other hand, you can't really blame her because she was trying to protect her sister... god, what a mess. And I wanted to kill Paul Marshall and the redhead for serious. They should have died and Robbie & Cecilia should have been the ones getting married.

And old Briony was totally the girl from Dirty Dancing Havana Nights. hahaha a bit of a change of role for her, huh?

I loved the music and the typewriter in the background. And I loved the details they used -- like the bee drawing Briony's attention to the window, and Cecilia's hair ornament gleaming on the floor and leading her to the library.

Oh and the ocean scene at the end = <3 and :(

If you loved Forrest Gump the movie, then I highly recommend Forrest Gump the book.
