[Duo is deathly pale. He had actually considered chattering a few times on the ride, and had given in to the impulse once, but anything he tried to say ended up trailing off at the mental reminder that Howard was at the game. At the field. Where everything was going wrong.
Duo steps out of the car and takes a moment to just.. look, before pulling out his own gun and hurrying in. The old man has to be okay. Hell, maybe he left early, or got out while everything was going crazy or... or something.]
[Heero slows down a bit to make sure Duo stays safe, but it's difficult when his adrenaline is going. Nearly every corner he rounds, he has to dodge falling concrete or other forms of debris... He's hoping he won't run into an Angel, but he's ready if he must.
He barely jumps out of the way of a falling neon sign. He shakes his head, looking back for Duo...] Where did you say he was?
[Duo's paying zero attention to what's safe and what isn't, so it's probably a good thing that he's been lucky enough to not step where things are trying to fall. It helps that he's emitting an odd sort of not-light that seems to bend the air around him. It almost looks like a few of the larger pieces of debris are deflecting off of it, but that's probably just a trick of the shadows. It takes him a moment to realize Heero asked him a question.]
Third base line, halfway up. [Which is exactly where he's headed, already trying to scan the panicked crowd for Howard]
[Heero nods firmly, changing his maneuvering so that he can manage a more direct line toward where Howard should be. An exceptionally loud explosion goes off immediately to his left, the force knocking him down the stone stairs for at least a few rows.]
[Duo stumbles, and then stands stock still for a second before he hurries over to Heero.]
Shit. Shit, are you okay? [There are voices in the back of his head yelling that he's got to find Howard, but Heero's right here and that takes priority.]
