The essay titles are pretty simple. I understand the subject and what its asking me to do. I have enough notes for me to pad out to 600 words (esp on the cat poetry) but I am totally writer's blocking on how to type it all up together ( Read more... )

Problem is you're not interested in it. Essays are so much easier when you get to choose wickedcool/weird things to write/obsess about.

Hit the nail on the head there. They're interesting, and I have thoughts and ideas about the subjects, but maybe not enough to construct any sort of argument. Which is lucky because I'm not being asked to discuss my own views on the subject.

Any luck since you wrote that entry? My usual solution is going for a walk, or tidying up, or taking a bath. Actually, I have some really good ideas while in the bathroom (ambiguousness intended). Probably because that's the only room in which I haven't got anything to write them down.

Also, I wrote most of the original stuff of my theses by hand and only typed it up afterwards. Which reminds me, I've got some minor loose ends to tidy up as well. Meh.

I have 989 words so far from this afternoon. Nothing is properly referenced. No bibliography (though that doesn't get included in word count) Structure of both essays are still appalling, but all the basic points I intend to include are in there, so if I re-word and sort out the awkwardly written/disjointed sentences, my word count will be pretty much spot on.

I may go take a bath.
