Was the contrast between Hathaway's excited fangirl persona and Franco's nonchalant attitude done deliberately? Anne was trying too hard on her own last night hosting the Oscar while James did not even try at all.
Ugh, agreed O_o I like them both as actors, especially Jimmy, but he just acted like he didn't even care. Plus I think that comedians should always be hosts, but that's besides the point. They were trying too hard to be "hip" and "cool". Ugh x_x
They were seriously the best part of the predictable and boring Oscar affair. I didn't catch the first hour so i have no idea what James/Anne did.
Plus, Downey Jr. and Law were the only presenters i didn't get annoyed with with. I never understood why the presenters had to be introduced and perked up just to present an award to another person. Seems pretty pointless and came off as stroking their egos.
Downey Jr. and Law had amazing chemistry and are too funny together. They should definitely host next year. It would be amazing. Imagine all the eye-sexing. And you know there is like hardcore sexual tension between them that they need to feed.
The prepared skits were alright. Not original, not impressive but not bad. But the attitude of them were horrible. Anne was trying hard to be energetic it was embarrassing. At least she tried, James just did not give a fuck. People say he was high. I hope he was. Otherwise he must had a nervous breakdown.
