Those are very interesting - I like that you do research on historical / mythological figures and looked up the artwork. And of course #23 - #26 are fun to compare. ^_^

Those pairings are so popular but I've never seen enough icons delicate to them.
I wish there's some clear paintings of Alex/Phai. Still, I'm perfectly okay to stick with those icons made from the movie version.

OT: Have you seen a movie called A Home At The End Of The World, starring Colin Farrell?

Aww, thank you very much. The myth of Achilles and Patroclus is beautiful, and the fact that Alexander and Hephaestion looked up to them makes it more popular. Only the movie Troy along with some historians insist they were cousins.
