I think Oscar wrote Dorian Gray before meeting Bosie, didn't he? The character was inspired by John Gray's beauty. If Jude Law is Lord Alfred, Ioan Gruffund is John Gray, then I don't think Jude is necessary to play Dorian since the character was not base on Bosie. In fact, Ben Barner does look a bit like Ioan Gruffund, so I'm alright.
Of course, I'd enjoy Jude's acting if he actually played Dorian Gray :)

Jude is a guy that you hate when you peep into his RL messes, but fall in love again when you watch one of his movies or interviews.
I'm smitten by his gayness. I mean he's straight, but he's utterly gay at the same time. It's very complicated, and he shows it in many of his roles.
