Yesterday the picnic was amazing. I left my apartment with no intention of actually going, since I wasn't sure if I'd be able to find everyone. Well, I stumbled upon the group after getting a chance to explore the park on my own, made new friends and realized that I've grown quite comfortable speaking French. For the most part I've stopped thinking

About your French: that is fantastic! My French prof is always telling us to not think too much when we're speaking and that the information will just come, but if course it's hard to get past that barrier.

About English w/ a British accent: I don't think anyone who speaks English as a second language speaks it with an American accent (should we thank British imperialism for that? LOL). I remember when I was younger and living in Egypt, I would always argue with my cousins about the proper way to pronounce and spell things. I thought they had come up with some Egyptian way of speaking English, but then I learned it was just British English they were speaking. Stupid of me, but hey, I was nine. xD
