It's a meme!
I know I've done this before, but I've changed a lot of icons, so there's new couples here! I didn't count cartoon characters, otherwise it would have gotten crazy.
Make a list of all the characters in your icons (although you may have more than one icon of a single character, they only go on the list once.) Alphabetise it. Take the first two people on the list; that's your first pairing. Second two people; second pairing etc. Then write your reaction to each pairing (or a snippet of a hypothetical fic featuring each pairing).
Angel and Alec (Angel/Dark Angel): Oh, the angst. The drama. The sweeping gestures. The sarcasm. At least it'd be pretty...
Kate Austen and Claire Bennet: (Lost/Heroes): Um. Heeeee. She's a crook who can't settle down and loves to stick her nose in everywhere, she's an underage plucky teen who can't be injured and likes to stick her nose in. It's a sitcom waiting to happen, I tells ye.
Alice Bloom and William "Spike" Bloody, (That Night/Buffy): Wow. Illegal. And WRONG. She's ten!! He's evil! But at least he could call her "little bit".
Pheobe Buffay and Winifred "Fred" Burkle, (Friends/Angel): the madcap never ends, does it? I think this couple would get old pretty fast, they'd be too 'whacky' together.
Logan Cale and Cordelia Chase, (Dark Angel/Angel): that's the second pairing for this crossover. You think they're trying to say something? I think she'd grow pretty bored with him awfully quickly. He doesn't take charge enough.
Jayne Cobb and Perry Cox, (Firefly/Scrubs): OMG! I can't stop giggling. The sarcasm!! It'd... too funny... I can't... HEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. I want this, like, NOW.
John "JD" Dorian and Logan Echolls (Scrubs/Veronica Mars): Well, JD does bow down to the sarcastic defense type guys, I guess. I can't really see these two together, though. It'll never work. One night fling.
Faith and Wallace Fennell, (Buffy/Veronica Mars): Oh my lord. I think we know who wears the pants in *this* couple. And it ain't Wallace. Could you imagine how his eyes would light up?
James "Sawyer" Ford and Kaylee Frye, (Lost/Firefly): Well, she does go for the rugged, well built, casually unserious but really deep inside kinda guys (Yes she does, JAYNE). If they can get past the raging time difference (and, really, that island could be anywhere and any*when*, so it's not impossible).
Max Gueverra and Xander Harris, (Dark Angel/Buffy): He does tend towards pushy, overly controlling women, doesn't he? I can see him loving Max to an unhealthy degree. I can only see her keeping him around if he's of use to her somehow. I am trying to figure out how.
Anya Jenkins and Juliet, (Buffy/Romeo & Juliet): Weird. I can't even say 'workable'. I think Juliet would really get on Anya's nerves.
Duncan Kane and Harmony Kendall, (Veronica Mars/Buffy): Heh. He deserves her. He really, really does. I hope she sucks him down.
Lilly Kane and Beatrice "the Bride" Kiddo, (Veronica Mars/Kill Bill): I... I would *pay* to see this. Can you imagine the trouble they'd get into? Seriously?
Donald Lamb and Mary Lane, (Veronica Mars/Reefer Madness): *spitblurt*. She would drive him insane within five minutes.
Tara McClay and Cindy "Mac" McKenzie, (Buffy/Veronica Mars): Meh, kinda dull couple there. Workable and cute.
Keith Mars and Hiro Nakamura, (Veronica Mars/Heroes): I can so see Keith playing straight guy to Hiro's 'cute Japanese man' schtick. It makes me giggle.
Veronica Mars and Daniel "Oz" Ozbourne, (Veronica Mars/Buffy): Yeahhhh, no. I don't see it. She'd get tired of him pretty quickly, methinks, and that's saying something considering she made it work with both Duncan and Piz. I just don't see these two together.
Joon Pearl and Stosh Piznarski, (Benny & Joon/Veronica Mars): Oh, poor Joon. Seriously. I think this couple would be overly 'cute' and it kinda creeps me out a bit. She's a little mentally unstable and he's already proven to be quite the selfish little manipulator.
Hugo "Hurley" Reyes and Willow Rosenberg, (Lost/Buffy): Um, you know, just thinking about these two makes me giggle. I think Willow, later seasons, would be driven crazy by his perky side while balancing him with just enough dark.
Sam and Satine, (Benny & Joon/Moulin Rouge): Well, if that ain't the freakiest couple I've ever seen. My god. I think seh would be initially enchanted, but the gimickiness of it would lose flavour quickly.
Inara Serra and Buffy Summers, (Firefly/Buffy): Um, Inara would reign Buffy in pretty quickly. Pretty couple, sure, but not very interesting.
River Tam and Samantha Waters, (Firefly/Profiler): See, while I can visualise River bringing out the maternal instincts in Sam, and Sam would so be one of the best people to communicate with River, I don't actually see them as a pairing. Their personality types match, but they don't. Does that make sense?
Zach, (Heroes): Awwww, left all alone. Poor little gay-and-then-not-rainbow-suspenders Zach. Isn't that always the way? You deserve better.
