After a bit of a reprieve--as much as a holiday and sickness and paper writing counts as a reprieve--I'm finally back. Strange weekend. Halloween was disappointing--I had but a dozen trick-or-treaters! Those who grew up in Beckley realize how out of the ordinary this is for me. I have had a frazzled mind for the past couple of days. I had two midterms on Wednesday, on two divergent topics (American poetry and horticulture don't always mix).
