Thank you!! I feel so much better now that it is over. I can say that she is definately my last child. I won't go into the horrid details about LDR, but the hospital I'm at made it worse. I had a cryro surgery about 5 years ago and it hindered my body from dialating. Then the nursing staff was horrid and wouldn't give me the extra strength pain stuff (which I truly needed at that point).

Thankfully, she is healthy and now growing. She was 4 lbs 13 oz and 18 3/4 in long. I have pics and links at my journal to her newborn (literally) pics.

Now you just take it easy. I know yours is going to be so much better than mine was. XOXOXO

♥ Hi!

I am so glad he's still hanging in there and so are you. Seven weeks. Not like you want now to be the time, but that's good, because now it's getting close enough if staying in bed doesn't do it.

Also, ew bed rest. No, I know you're willing and expected it and all, but, you know, ew bed rest. I was so very bad at it. *sends more crosswords*

Bed rest totally sucks. And I suck at doing it. I've been yelled at by every family member at one point or another for doing far beyond what is considered lying down and relaxing. I just got back from another midwife appointment in which I asked (begged and pleaded) with her for a little "up" time. She looked at me like I had two heads and I quickly stuck my tail between my legs. So now I'm being good, lying back, trying to stay out of trouble. Trying not to order too many shoes online. :) I'm now 28 1/2 weeks, but at 35 weeks I'm considered full term, so that's a relief. Only 6.5 more weeks to go. My husband is definitely in countdown mode.

How are you? I've missed you so much! I hope things are well with you and your family. Fill me in.

Let's see. We are all still dorks. That's probably most of it in a nutshell. Kid One is doing a lovely job with high school. Kid two is squirrelier than a bucket of squirrels and driving his teacher just a little bit insane. And today it is pretending to snow here, only, it's not quite cold enough, so it's more like puffy rain.

You may recall my colleague with the scary preemie 3 years ago was also pregnant again. After some scariness this time too, everything settled and she had a small but perfect baby girl November 1 (as with you, "term" for her didn't mean the usual thing; I think they got her to 36 and called it a day.) I'm telling you this because hey, end in sight, and it can all go fine. They're funny, though, and you can probably relate: because this is their second and their first the whole thing was so freakin' traumatic, they're all, "...she needs like, no help. With. ...Everything. There are no wires. No tubes. No... it's weird." :D

And, of course:

There once was a mommy named Willow
Who hated--no, hated' ( ... )

i know you're insane.

Quite true *winks*

But the good news is that I'm working on the finishing parts to the Intro and first two parts of the thesis that I need to send out this evening. When that is done I will get to emails that need answering tomorrow...

*hugs*

But it was sooo wonderful to see you back on LJ - if only for a bit....

HAHAHA. I didn't mean it that way...but life does have a way of making us feel insane at times. Hee.

Yeah. Congrats on all your hard work. You're doing it!!! That's so awesome. Write only when you can. I'm not going anywhere...except, y'know, to the bathroom every five minutes. XOXOX

Awww. Thank you. I've missed you so much. Sorry it's taken me this long to post. Life has been a little too eventful as of late, but I'm attempting once again to steal some time for myself. :)

I hope you are doing well. Anything exciting happening in your neck of the woods?
