"Oh my god, what have you done to him?" he asked willy, wanting to touch him but nervous about touching the clear case again.

"Back to your pool, temptress," he said sharply. "We have no time for your games."
"Oh, but my prince, my games are so fun. Come now, you can't keep the mortal all to yourself..." she bubbled. But Willy pulled Spencer away even more, crossing the bridge with the knowledge that she could not follow.

"Here we are," he said, then threw open the large door to reveal the most magnificent library imaginable.

It was lovely, and though the magic made him a little unsteady he made his way inside, touching spines and reading titles.
It really was beautiful.

"And when we have answers, then I shall show you where we might learn how to help your friend."
He knew exactly which book to give Spencer for that knowledge. He knew just what it would say, too.

But he did change his track and took Spencer to the second level, right to a book about enchanted fruit and their spells. He pulled out the book and handed it to the man.
"What you ate was the somnium fruit," he said. "In here you will find the way to break the spell. All I could do was transfer the enchantment from one mortal to another. I could not break the spell. Only one person can."

"True love's kiss?" he asked. "How am I supposed to know who his true love is? Is it who he loves or who loves him? The book doesn't say."

"I don't have answers for you, Spencer. You'll have to figure it out. COme now. Fourth level."

He didn't care about Avalon or Willy. The only thing that mattered was Hex- and short of Willy chaining him to a table there was little that could keep him from going to him.
