The address will lead her to a stucco house, painted a mint chocolate chip green. Walking up to it, she can probably already hear the commotion that comes with five guys sharing a house.

She may even hear the bang of his drum set some where in the distance, with him calling new lyrics to a new song about sunsets and blue satin to Bryant who is repeating them, as he jots them down, and calling back that Jude needs to stop writing songs about the only girl in the country that isn't in love with him.

He yells an obscenity back, the drumming stops, and the boys quiet down a little. He's been really testy lately, ever sense they moved; they know he's taking it harder than he expected. That he just wants her with him. There's grumbling in the front room, that they almost wish the bossy Princess was there, to pull him out of his funk.

Part of her is really wondering why the five guys are sharing a house when Jude has the money to put them up better if he wanted to, to put himself up better if he wanted.

The comments, faint as they are, sting. They're clear enough and it bows her head, leaving her standing in the rain for a long moment as she blinks back more tears. It takes a lot for her to reach out and knock on the door, louder than she might normally back home so that any commotion won't drown the knock out.

She looks less like the Princess she normally does, more like a very high end drowned rat. She doesn't even have bags or a change of clothes, just her purse because she'd had enough mind to not go anywhere without money and ID.

Jude comes stormily to the door, expecting it to be one of Harrison's string of groupies, or the pizza guy. He opens the door, and just gapes at her for a long moment ( ... )

She'd gone over in her head what she wanted to do when he opened the door, that's she'd launch herself at him and hug him. But standing there, with him gaping at her, and the guys in the house watching, all she can do is blink and not stumble when she's tugged inside.

She means no disrespect, but she barely sees anyone else as they move through to his bedroom. She's wanted to see Jude, missed him for these last two weeks, and that's all she sees right now.

Her feet slip out of her heels and she curls up more against him, already shivering from the rain. Without the rain, it's clear that she's still crying a little as her lower lip is pulled between her teeth. "Jer and I broke up," she murmurs softly. "He accused me of being in love with you," her shivering gets a little worse, causing her sentence to be cut off and her to try and curl a little more into him.
