Notes: This is my first time writing Henry, which is a big reason why it's so short.
Summary: A drabble on Blake's relationship with Scorch.
Henry Blake was a shy man. Henry Blake was a nervous man. He enjoyed fishing. He was a father and husband. And despite thinking his wife to be the most nagging woman ever, part of him did love her. After all, he had married her, and they had two daughters. She was pregnant when he left for Korea.
Henry didn’t know how he had become a lieutenant colonel. He was not a leader of men, and just wanted people to like him. Henry knew how to read people. Therefore, it did not take him long to realize that Pierce and McIntyre would like him as a person, but have no respect for him as their commanding officer, and Burns and Houlihan would think him a disgrace to the army.
Henry sat on his bed, and twisted the glass of whisky in his hand, watching the brown liquid slosh inside.
“Come on Henry, it’s okay,” Lieutenant Scorch said, as she sat beside him on the bed.
“They don’t like me though, Leslie,” he moaned.
“I like you,” she said.
Henry gave his goofy smile.
“Hawkeye likes you,” she said, kissing his cheek. “Trapper likes you.”
“No, they just like to walk all over me.”
“Fine, then focus on me. I could be with any doctor here, but I chose you,” she said, and undid the top button of her uniform top.
Henry took a drink from his glass before placing it on the table. He watched with wide eyes as Scorch moved closer to him.
She kissed his ear and whispered, “Focus only on me.”
He kissed her as he pulled her on top of him.
Henry Blake was a married man. But even married men get lonely in Korea.
