Summary: Kevin and Scotty's first kiss.
Author's Notes: I own nothing. I still like their real first kiss(es) better.
Kevin sat his desk, staring at a blank computer screen. In frustration, he rubbed his face. Why couldn't he concentrate? The file for the Mangopean case sat open on his desk. He looked down at it, attempting to read it. But he couldn't focus. His attention was else where. Every time he closed his eyes, all he could see were hazel eyes framed with long, dark eyelashes, a mop of brown hair, and a crooked smile. What he really seemed focused on was that smile: and more specifically, the lips which formed it. If asked, Kevin couldn't explain the why, the attraction, but he knew one thing: he knew the attraction was there. He also knew it wouldn't be leaving any time soon.
Scotty heard the knock at the door, and wondered who could be there. He put down the book he was reading, and pushed his reading glasses up into his hair.
"Kevin," he said in shock. "I mean, Mr. Walker. Was I supposed to expect you?"
"Please, you can call me Kevin, we've been on a couple of dates. Also, it will make what I have to say to you a little less awkward."
Before he could lose any more courage, he gently kissed Scotty.
"I had to know," Kevin said, before turning around to head for the door.
"Not so fast Kevin."
Kevin turned back to Scotty.
"Emil Ludwig once said, 'The decision to kiss for the first time is the most crucial in any love story. It changes the relationship of two people much more strongly than even the final surrender; because this kiss already has within it that surrender.' Therefore, you can't just show up at my apartment, kiss me, and leave. I get to have a say."
"So what do you have to say?"
Scotty took a step or two forward to close the gap between them. He placed his hand on the back of Kevin's head, and pulled him into a deep kiss.
