The 20th New Book of the year. The list is
here.
This is in a single volume with the previous book, Winnie-the-Pooh. But again, I've never read it before, although some of the stories are familiar (I'm thinking Tigger being unbounced, which someone (Dawn..?) re-wrote with CS characters for a Secret Santa one year...). The last chapters with Christopher Robin growing up are bitter-sweet in some ways. But beautifully written all the same.
Not sure what will be next - although I've re-ordered Anne of Ingleside from the library (they were waiting for their own copy which has been out since last February to come back in, but I complained and they're now getting the copy that's sitting in the Stacks at one of the other libraries in the area in for me), and I've also placed a hold on the latest Pern book. This is along with The Cranford Chronicles, bought on Friday, and The Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis, bought a couple of weeks ago from a Charity Shop...
