Come on people, what's the big deal??
Everyone seems to be gaga over Fred. WHY FOR THE LOVE OF VAMPIRES?????? I am not a Texas Twig gal. It's nothing on Amy Acker as I loved her as Whiskey (and Claire, but more so Whiskey), and the episodes I saw of Happy Town I enjoyed her in. Then there is the great SPN episode she played in that I also loved. It's just Fred

I prefer Wes with Fred or in the triangle of "adorbs and woe" with Fred and Gunn, BUT I still love Lilah as a character.
Basically Fred is a character that I can really relate to. Other than math and being skinny, I totally see myself in Fred more than any other Whedon character. I totally understand why she distanced herself from Gunn. I would have too. He deserved a shin kick for that and signing for what I call the "Illyria box".
Of course, I also loved Illyria. I really wish they had gotten another season to go in the direction they were thinking with Fred AND Illyria existing separately. Think of the lulz.

I'm not the biggest Fred fan. I think she's alright but that's pretty much it (the time I did love her was in S5 but then came Illyria and I loved her more :D). But I think my reasons are the opposite. She just doesn't seem special to me. I didn't like her when she dated Gunn. He was not for her, imo. And while I do prefer Lilah, I liked Fred with Wes.
