given the powers that Grace has, it really is endless. and I can see Danny wanting to control the weather to make a perfect day for Grace if its raining...or making it snow again.

She's laying on the hammock strung up across the lanai staring dejectedly at the clouds that have been hanging low in the sky all day. The weatherman's been predicting practically monsoon levels of rain to start any time now.

'Danno, I know you can't control the weather all the time, but can you hold off the rain just til the limo drops us off? I'll call you as soon as we're inside?' She's begging, and it's ridiculous she knows, but she can't help it. It's her prom. She can't show up to prom soaked.

'Yeah Monkey, I'll keep it clear for you. No worries.' Danny says. Then 'Don't you have to go and get your hair done, or something?'

'Auntie Kono and Miss Lori are coming over in an hour they're gonna do my hair and makeup, and Lily's too.' Grace is all smiles again.

Danny heads back into the house and pops a couple Tylenol. He's been holding this rain off all week.

This was awesome!

Even though it's a dark time in early America, I've always thought the Salem Witch Trials was one of the most fascinating times in history. Have you ever read the play The Crucible? It's by Arthur Miller and it's set during the that time period, and Abigail Williams is one of the main characters and it is beyond brilliant.

I love how you've interwoven that into Danny's family and given him those amazing abilities. And I can imagine that being able to read people especially helps Danny with his job.

Good for Grace for taking everything co calmly and I could really see this as a series--do you have plans for continuing this?

OMG!! This was so great, I am sitting here with this goofy grin. And as far as the witch trials, being I am a fan (if one could call it that) of that time period, and those girls who accused everyone. I actually had a bunny about them, involving Steve and Mary though, which came to me after watching a classic film called "I married a witch." I'll email you with it and lemme know what you think. And I don't have the "proper" H50 icon, so I have to use this one to express more feelings about the fic....

I'm SOOOOO glad you liked it. The basic framework of the idea came to me after watching Sorcerer's Apprentice (where one of the people they 'locked' in the jars was Abigail Williams. I was all '...OMG Williams... That's Danny's Last name. I can totally work that into a story...' Then I saw Alba's prompt, and the rest...

I am such a History nerd. I have a friend that lives near Boston and when me and Hubby went to visit them a few years ago I was able to spend 2 days wandering around Salem.
