Yes, J+J meet when they are babysitting, but they part ways. Years later, they meet again at the auditions for Rent and the night after the auditions, Jared finds Jensen on the bridge and discovers that Jensen's boyfriend killed himself a few weeks before. He talks Jensen down, confesses his long time love, and the two go on to win Tony awards for their performances in the revival of Rent.
