Am I done yet?

I have two more days of class. One more final project to do, and a reflection paper. I'm still waiting to get my grade for my e-portfolio back though. I'm half convinced I'm going to fail the portfolio. If I do I don't know if I'll try again. I'm just so ready to be done ( Read more... )

Stress messes with your hormones and brain chemistry so it seems very possible that it might be one of the triggers for your depression. Do you think getting stuck on a particular issue and dwelling on it too much is part of what leads you into depression as opposed to something that happens after you're already depressed? If getting stuck on an issue is helping to trigger depression, it seems to me like that is something you could train yourself to notice before it becomes a problem and thus possibly short-circuit the process of it turning into depression.

I think it depends on the situation. For example when I was stressed about doing my e-portfolio, I think focusing on that too much triggered a depression cycle. But other times I'm feeling depressed, so I try to figure out the "cause" and end up focusing on every negative thing that has ever or ever could happen to me.
