When worlds collide
BC Premier, Gordon Campbell, was at the Centre for Digital Media today, presiding over the official launch.
I operated his virtual Avatar in Second life for the "virtual unveiling".
What's particularly cool is that I was in tophat and tails, shook his hand, and had lots of press people photograph me. Keep your eyes open for me on the local TV news ( Read more... ) -
A new role
Looks like I'll be teaching at my new school.
I'm the TA for their course in "Virtual Worlds". I get to teach the first class on Tuesday. :) -

William Gibson in Cyberspace
William Gibson did a "Virtual Book Reading" today. He went to the Centre for Digital Media in Vancouver and we streamed his voice to a relay server for "Second Life". Meanwhile, he operated his SL avatar. By the way, I did the technical setup and monitoring for the event.
So in a sense, I brought William Gibson into Cyberspace.

My first animation walk cycle!
I figured I should learn to do some 3d animation and modeling before Sept rolls around.
So here's my first real attempt at animation.
