Now I can geek out with the rest of you geeks.

I think (I hope) that if I had actually slowed down and thought about it for a second, I would have seen the Dumbledore thing coming. But I was, of course, so enthralled that I needed to Just. Keep. Reading until I got to the end.

Of course she's going to take out Dumbledore. He's the only protection Harry has, and he has to face Voldemort alone.

I still think Snape isn't evil, though. I think there's more to it than that. And he still wins my vote as the most interesting character in the whole series. (oh, and Alan Rickman's hot. But that's superficial, isn't it?)

i kinda knew dumbledore would die, but i thought it would be in book seven. mom's theory is that "you have to get rid of the mentor before the fledgling can prove himself" or something like that. i agree with that.

and i know what you mean about snape being a little less than evil. i'm thinking he's gonna eventually end up killing voldemort and die in the process, saving harry in the end.

and i'm partial to malfoy. even though he's a bloody prat. ::grin::

Harry has to kill Voldemort. He's the only one who can do it.

Now, will Snape play a vital role in that? Almost definitely. Hopefully, he won't die, but Jo doesn't seem to have any problem offing characters, so we'll just have to see.

I can't stand Malfoy, although in the films Tom Felton is absolutely brilliant. Malfoy's way too young for me, though. His dad, on the other hand...

I'll stop before we turn Neil's LJ into a Slytherin slashfic site.

aww, but it's so much more fun that way!

and yes, tom felton helped a lot with my minor malfoy obsession... too bad he's jailbait. he's even too young for me, but anyway...
::blush::

i had the same kind of thoughts concerning the snape/potter/voldie thing. i agree that harry kind of has no choice in killing the dark lord, but mom brought up a good point (yet again--this is what mom and i do, talk about harry potter. we're a bunch of gradeschoolers at heart) they made such a big stinkin deal about the fact that when you kill someone, you lose part of your soul in HBP. harry has to stay pure--that's what he's all about, so that kinda rocks the theory a bit.
::shrug:: oh well, just my two cents.

you were surprized about harry and ginny? dude, i've been calling that since book two.

it's way up there for me as well, very closely following book three. i'm glad you liked it! even though somebody ruined it with the snape-dumbledore thing...

::shrug:: i've got my own theories about book seven along with everyone else, but i guess we'll just have to wait until next year.

I thought Ginny really did get over Harry. A lot of time I think we find we get over our first crushes. Maybe Harry would've been back with Cho (or even dated Luna! Who knows?)

Well, yeah that was made more obvious by the end of HBP.

I think my friend Stacie thinks Harry and Hermione are going to be together.

I completely disagree. :)

I like Harry and Hermione better, but I think it is pretty obvious that it's gonna be Ron and Hermione.

If it isn't, there's a LOT of MORE fans that will be pissed than the ones who were going for Harry and Hermione. :)
