I had -- and wore regularly -- wide, rainbow-striped "Mork from Ork" suspenders. Usually with two or three buttons pinned to them.

I had those too but I was thinking of them more as a 70s thing. Am I wrong?

Dunno. I wore mine circa 1985, but they'd been a joke gift to my dad a couple years earlier. It's far from unlikely that I was behind on the trend.

On the other hand, I did have a pair of MC Hammer pants long before he emerged onto the mainstream scene. Very comfy.
