[He'd been a bit surprised when he found a package addressed to him, having heard of the regain process but unable to think of a reason he'd have received one yet. But it was curiosity and being unfamiliar with how the town went about things that led him to open it, and there was only a moment of confusion at the empty box before the memories hit him. That he could forget something like this, his sweet, shy princess he'd met at home, that he could meet her here and not recognize her, that the town could pull that from him, sent him reeling.
