Peter was barely containing his impatience with the duties that wouldn't stop popping up in the way of getting to see his wife again. Finally he managed to get himself a few minutes by pawning off a specific petitioner on Mr. Tumnus who pretended not to be amused at Peter's impatience.

He checked for Willow in the library before heading up to their quarters. It was still strange - in a good way - that he could enter her - their - room without knocking, and he pushed the door open quietly, not wanting to bother her if she was busy.

He couldn't help grinning broadly when he saw her and forwent the formal bow to cross the room to her quickly. "I think you're more beautiful that when I left," Peter said, completely serious and well aware she'd probably laugh at him for it.

Well she could laugh but that would get in the way of acting on her joy at seeing her husband again.

"You're home! Yay!" She went to pounce on him with a kiss.

"Much better than the alternative," Willow agreed, hugging Peter back. "Did you have a good trip? Was there fun and pleasant trip-related things?"
