Willow was outside her cabin again.

Today she was having a breakfast of champions that consisted of donuts and soda.

She was also reading a very thick book on British heraldry.

No reason in particular on that last bit.

"I'm Anakin," he replied, sitting down and glancing at her choice of breakfast foods with a small grin. "Nice way to start the day," he said, pointing. "Personally, I prefer to go with injecting the sugar straight into my veins."

"Sure, but if you do that you'll get bubbles in your blood," Willow pointed out, indicating her soda can. "Then you'll die. Though I suppose arguably there are worse ways to go."

Anakin laughed. "Hard to explain to the beings back home, though," he said. "There would be paperwork."

He put his hands, one covered in a black glove, on his knees. "What brings you to Fandom, Willow?" he asked.

Willow noticed the Michael Jacksonesque fashion statement, but felt it would be rude to ask. "Hellmouth. My folks wanted me to go somewhere safer. You?"

"Jedi Temple," he replied. "My old teacher wanted me somewhere far, far away from him." He smiled. "Well, not exactly. More of a learning experience--explore another planet's culture and teaching traditions, stuff like that."

"Turns out two of my old teachers are here," Willow said. "Well, one was a teacher and the other was more of a dashing if older and totally forbidden authority figure."

"Ms. Calendar and Giles," Willow said. "He's not a teacher. He's got a bookstore now."

"I took a class from Professor Calendar last semester," Anakin offered. "She was really good." He crossed his legs out in front of him. "And if you get a chance to take anything with Professor Tick, do it." Anakin looked a little self-conscious. "He's my favorite teacher here."

"He gave me a pass to Special Collections," Willow said. "He's my favorite teacher here so far too. Though I guess he didn't know about the genie."

"Pink," Willow confirmed. She smiled. "You know Rory? She seemed really nice. I hope I can meet her puppy sometime."

If Anakin was ever going to try to convince Willow that he was a badass, the goofy smile on his face when he talked about Vladdie was going to have to go.

"I'll ask Rory to bring him out soon," he promised. "My pet isn't nearly that interesting." He paused. "I'm not sure he even noticed I was gone for a few weeks."
