Show and tell time, folks. Be good sports and grace the network with your findings and observations on this town, that castle, and all the steps inbetween from start to finish. Even the most nonsensical things may lead to logic ( Read more... )

My theory is you're going to rig a homemade bomb to the caravan and hijack it.

I don't think my evil mwua-ha-ha is up to snuff for something like that just yet.

Oh. Shit, I'm early. Well, if you do it in the future, I called it.

Left all my gold star stickers in my secret volcano lair, so no bonus points for you.

You got anything with logic backing it to share with the class?

The castle was very Disney, Beauty and the Beast. Or, to be more specific, it looked a hell of a lot like château de Chenonceau. At least what I remember of it when I was in France. So this universe is either derivative or just not creative. I was going on the fairy-tale theme, but then we ended up in a ghost town. Are there cowboy fairytales?

And as for the stuff you need: no screwdriver, but threading needles are easy to make.

Leaning towards derivative; there's a familiar, almost relative aspect to portions of this world and the places/people in it.

It's suggested that there's more than one universe: a new one for each decision made or not made by everyone and everything. Possible. Could explain a lot of the samey things.

I need something small, thin, and strong enough to work as a wedge. Wood splinters won't exactly cut it, and I'm not exactly the carry-paperclips-around sort.

But that would also make some of the crazy conspiracy theorists right. We can't let them win. Or be right. Whichever. Though with the whole Willy Wonka Land we've got going on here, I guess I've been proved wrong. Damn them.

Paperclips? I have a couple. Had some in my pocket when I got here, and survival skills kicked in and throwing away anything seemed stupid. Seeing as I have no papers to clip, you can have them.

Endless, slightly-alternate universes would hardly pass for "crazy" back home. More inconvenient than anything.

North Delta. 402. Slide a few of those bad boys under the door if you find the time. It's for a good cause.

Threading needle like a, what, you want to do some sewing? Huh, maybe I lost one in my school bag after Home Ec.

I dunno how big this Willaknapp place is, but maybe it could still be some kind of trap or dimensional sinkhole or totally awful monster lair.

Not so much sewing as unraveling.

Are those maybes wild guesses or offered with experience backing them?

Needles unravel things? Hey, who knew! Maybe I shoulda actually listened in Home Ec.

I usually offer wild guesses, but... Traps and other-dimensiony monster lairs and all that? Not fun! No. This is a lot, well, more detailed than I'd expect. Less fog. Less evil schemes.

Definitely not a schoolroom bit of know-how I'm referring to.

Less is more, they say.
