A question: what technology from your own world arrived here with you, if any? Does it still work?

Any information on this planet would be most welcome - even if you think you've heard it or said it all before. Can't fault a woman for being in a cell, can you? That or a general time frame, if anyone knows what century we're in.

If there is some sort of calendric system in place, I rather doubt it would be of any use to us anyway.

As for your first question, I wish I could be more help but, most regrettably, I believe I am of the minority that actually find this world has more advancements than my own.

It might be able to give us some information on the planet we're on. I'm desperate for some starting point since my computer is useless.

Anything specific or just generally?

...Planet? [There's a concept he's completely unfamiliar with.] They call the world Willaknapp but beyond that I have heard very little. That waywarrant character is not exactly forthcoming with his information.

Generally, yes. Most of what I am familiar with is imbued with some sort of magic.

A celestial body that orbits a star? Can't exactly say I've heard of any planet called Willaknapp.

I see. Thank you.

I'm still functional, but it seems like my power intake has been turned down quite a bit and a few systems are offline.

I'm not sure it's actually about technology as much as it's about limiting how much trouble we can cause in general, since I believe I've heard people with more...superhuman kinds of abilities have had some similar problems.

It might be a personal question but - functional?

So whoever or whatever brought us here intends on keeping us here. I'd so hoped to be somewhere else by now.

It's not really personal, as I don't have any reason to make a secret of it. I'm an android.

I think many of us have places we'd prefer to be, but we've yet to find a better way out than to just sit back and enjoy the ride, unfortunately.

Got it. I've dated androids before, you're a good sort.

Patience never was a virtue, and I'm far too old to learn.

It's lovely to hear someone use the word planet, at the very least.

I have my omnitool, which isn't connecting to any networks, and it's having trouble with a few other processes, but at least it can tell me the atmosphere is breathable. If my wetware had something wrong with it, I rather think I'd know. And I have a sidearm, but I haven't, uh, needed to fire it.

I thought that would've been obvious from the start.

My own device won't even function as a simple communicator, so you're ahead of me there. As for firing my own, you know what they say about curiosity and the cat.

Well, this place has, I guess you'd say, quite a few techno-cultural markers of being hundreds of years away from space flight, if not more. I mean. Save these things. [There is a pause; she is either wiggling or gesturing to the Junogam.]

And. Curiosity and the cat? I... No, I'm not entirely sure I do know what they say.

Which begs the question of how we arrived here in the first place.

It's an old Earth saying - curiosity killed the cat but satisfaction brought it back. Sometimes I just can't help myself.
