You know what I like the most about this Caravan?

The stairs. Stairs are great. Stairs are convenient. Stairs usually mean that walkways and bridges are still around and haven't... rotted away or been eaten or something.

Walkways and bridges are great, too. You ever tried to get around without either of those things? It's a tricky business. Lots of ( Read more... )

You know, I am inclined to agree with you. But I must admit, the thing I miss the least...is the Darkspawn. As nice as it would have been to ride an ogre across Ferelden--and relaxing--it would have mattered very little when our mount was brutally slaughtered by Darkspawn bent on our destruction. [ a fond sigh. ] Ah, those were the days...

And assuming you are allowed to get old. It all depends on how good the family's aim is, of course!

If there're anything to be said for cities, it's how easy the roofs are to escape on. Few alleyways, up a ladder or two, or no ladder if it comes to that... then it's just a matter of avoiding the city guard.

...are you certain you are not a native of Antiva?

Are you sure you've never been to Persia?

I am now more certain than ever I would have had cause to remember it.

Same here. Guess I'll have to pay a visit if it doesn't turn out to have been eaten by Corruption.

More or less, it already has been. Though that, I believe, is not the sort of corruption you mean.

-- ouch.

Well there's corruption where all the merchants are out to fleece you, or the Corruption which actually tries to kill you and then talk. Which one are we talking about?

A little from column A, a little from column B... You know how it is. No darkspawn in Antiva at present, though there are times when I wonder which is worse. Perhaps they might take care of some of the less savory members of the population. It is difficult to say.

Picky, picky. I think the Corruption I know doesn't like to leave survivors.

Funny thing; neither does mine. Perhaps it is an inherent property of all corruptions.

Where I am from, we call it Blight, however. In order to differentiate. Catchy, is it not?

Sure... about the same as actually having it. See, I was more set on getting away from it than coming up with names to call it.

-- Well, I called it names too, but that's not the point.

Yes, I understand intimately. Were it up to me, such things would have no name at all, save for that which is unpleasant and should be avoided at all costs.

...

Far less memorable, however. These Fereldens do enjoy naming things. Dogs, weapons, miserable scourges upon the land...

Hey, if you can't get rid of it, might as well be able to point it out. I mean, it'd be a bit dangerous if you went around saying "that thing's back" when "that thing" turns out to be someone's mother.

[ he laughs at that, quite loudly.

finally, some good conversation in this curious place! ]

Oh, yes, yes; that would get confusing. Though in Antiva, I have known a certain number of mothers capable of being far more dangerous than the blight. So yes, it is a dilemma.
