[ someone sounds a little tired, but he's finally managed to flip it on ] Now that we've all had quite enough music for the rest of eternity, I suppose we can get back to business. Status reports, everyone.
[ an afterthought- ] Are there spare blankets on this thing?
[ abusing Church is really ok in this man's book ] Glad to hear. And even gladder to not hear any more singing. Nothing of interest on your patrols, Agent?
[This might be the scary start of a good friendship or at least chain of command.] Nothing. There hasn't been a sign of trouble lately but something is going to happen again at some point. I don't think we should relax our guard the entire trip.
[and someone else sounds more chipper than she has any right to be in this weather. 'sup Weller.] I picked up a couple before we left, if you need one.
I wouldn't call myself an expert but I can appreciate it when it's well done.
Thirty-nine days, give or take. Since our adventure began all the way back in Sleepywoods- as idiotic as that name might sound. You are a new arrival, then?
there may be one new recruit. a man, presumably in his late teens or early twenties. he hasn't confirmed readiness to join the troop, but he was interested. if you approve of training more people, sir, i will contact him again.
understood, sir.
[there is a bit of an awkward pause here, before he decides to type this anyway NOT THAT YOU CAN SEE THAT PAUSE]
HEY BOSSMAN, HE MISSED YOU.justice_by_comaDecember 21 2010, 07:28:31 UTC
Meguro Gau reporting, sir! I've lost my voice, and we have new people aboard from the singing-town. I'm trying to track them all down, and updating the appropriate records!
I'm not sure, but it's possible two of the new men had working guns. I saw holsters on one, and a magazine sticking out of the pocket of the other when he went to light his cigarettes. It was a man with white hair and sunglasses, and another one with red hair and an eye patch. I didn't get their names yet. I'm trying to find out everything I can, but with all the singing, it's been really hard. They weren't wearing uniforms, but if they have military training this could be perfect for expanding the caravan militia and security forces!
[Yeah, because him losing his voice is as big as new people. And he's totally saluting that junogam. He's so eager it comes out even in text.]
AW HE MISSED ALL OF YOU TOOhungupbootsDecember 21 2010, 09:45:46 UTC
Good to hear from you, Meguro. And good- I'll want a report on the new faces as soon as possible.
Really...? [this is good news!] I'll keep an eye out for them myself. We do need all the help we can get. The information is appreciated.
[pa..use... well alright, throw the kid a bone] I believe Anathema has threatened me multiple times with tea, you might want to seek her out if your throat continues to bother you.
But I really don't want to bother Anathema-san. Especially if she's feeling horrible, too. Imposing on her when she's sick would be horrible. (But her tea is really wonderful. I've had it before! You should let her make you some if she keeps offering!)

Where have you been these past few days?
Reply
Around. Mostly doing my patrols. [ AND SLEEPING LIKE A ROCK IN HIS BED... ]

And hiding from the singing, apparently. [SHE WAS GETTING WORRIED ABOUT YOU YOU KNOW]
Reply
Quite. I don't think my ears can take any more of it.

We do not regularly pass through places like this, then?
Reply
So far, no. It's been mostly countryside until this point.

You have an interest in music then?
[and a brief sigh.] I understand. How long have you been travelling here, if I may ask?

Nevertheless if she's offering tea to me there is a high probability she'll be making enough for plenty of people.
