Frankly, I'm a bit worried to even start this entry, as LJ has been up and down for me all day. That's a gigantic pain in the ass, given that I'm on my second week of vacation, my parents have gone, I've done most of the cleaning/sorting that there is to do in the house, and I'm downright BORED. have you read the unfinished 5th book which is really the 1st book retold from Edward's perspective? It's not...bad. NNot good, but not bad. I hear you on the editing. Go to Stephanie Meyer's website and look for Midnnight Sun link and you'll find the PDF for the book. It's like 270 pages, or so, up until after the conversation in the cafe, and the following day at school.

The problem is that once you get as big as Stephanie Meyer you don't get edited anymore. I bet it was copyedited and that was it. Sigh.

but it WASN'T! (Copyedited, that is. There are so many mistakes in the later books, it's just sad.)

If my step-dad didn't like what we were having for dinner, she would offer to make something else. If he needed anything, she would fetch it. There's never any room for good-natured ribbing about gender roles. Obviously, Brad and I aren't like that, and both my parents sometimes find it a little uncomfortable. Brad cooks, which my step-dad mocked on more than one occasion. He makes sure it's okay with me when he spends too much time out in the garage, or before he leaves the house. He's not asking permission, he's just making sure nothing else is going on, but to my dad that makes him less of a man.

Dang. He should never, ever, come to my house then, because the sight of Chris making dinner AND taking care of the baby would make his head explode. :-D

Tell Brad to quit lying around being useful and get back on XBox. I got John Left4Dead and I got Call of Duty WAW.
