I went and found the original article: the accident took place in Northern Ohio (about 2.5ish hours from where I am).

Soap opera star, Freddie Smith of Los Angeles, lost control of his car on Route 84 in Kingsville Township early this morning, seriously injuring his passenger, Alyssa Tabit of North Hollywood, Calif., according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Smith was taken to Conneaut Medical Center for treatment. Tabit was flown by medical helicopter to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Youngstown, where she is listed in critical condition, OHP said.

Speed and alcohol are suspected to be factors in the crash, OHP said.

For those following here instead of Twitter/Tumblr, Guy just posted that Freddie texted him and is fine, and Alyssa had to have surgery but she came out of it okay.

Shakes head whilst Im glad FS & AT are fine I have to question why was he though it hasn't been proven it's more heresay and speculation but Drinking and then Speeding.

I mean SURELY he has more than enough money to get a Cab or get a friend to drop them off wherever they were going.

The general feeling right now on the Dr (Daytime Royalty Boards) is that he could get fired Im using that term loosely as we don't know the whole story here

The wreck happened because he had been drinking and speeding? How do we know this?

The reports on the Daytime Royalty Boards it says Speed and Drinking was a Factor though it's not a 100% certaintey

Oh yikes. Hopefully it's not true.

Just to say that if her condition was really, really bad, they would have
air-lifted her to Cleveland Clinic, which is about 15 minutes away by air,
instead of to Youngstown.

Freddie is from Ashtabula, if I'm not mistaken, so they were probably
visiting his family. The area is very rural and basically unlighted at
night, so I'm assuming that factored in, not to downplay the speed and
drinking aspect at all.
