When Will opens the door, its hot in Sherwood and the air is heavy and humid. The other men aren't too far away and give a wave to Will and Atton as Will asks,
"Any more trouble?"
"Na yet, but Allan's goin' to the inn to see if 'e can 'ear more."
John answers and sighs, none of them like what's coming.

"Will told ye about the Sheriff's bribe, aye? Since then someone has come to fight us every day. Hopefully Allan can change a few souls from running to harm for naught."

Actually, that's not really true, but it'd get old after a few weeks, and he can understand why some people might be less than pleased with it, especially if it's untrained villagers.
"S'not getting any better, then?"

"Think 'rhaps if I tell them o''ow all the others 'ave been defeated they'll stop. Can come with me if ye wish, ye're good at tellin' tales that scare folk."
