The castle never falls completely silent since after all, it is Fair time and an excuse to stay up rather later than normal.

Atton stays in his room for a while. He starts feeling better quickly, starts feeling restless quickly after that, and has a sneaking suspicion that even if he can't use his powers, his healing factor may still be doing its thing - when he cleaned off all the blood, he didn't look nearly as bruised as he'd expected.

The key is glowing more than when he arrived. The very dim light has now become bright enough that hiding it under his clothes is difficult, and it's giving off little wisps of cold purple flame. That can only be a good sign, Atton feels.

When he smells something suspiciously like rotten eggs, he heads out the door. The balls he placed in the torches will have been fuming for a while now - long enough that the poison will be making a lot of the guards disorientated.

Any of the guards that weren't out drinking now feel like they were and are leaning against in each other, trying to be more awake than they are. Will isn't among them though, he's out in Nottingham.

Atton notices Will's absence as he heads through the corridors, and is quite pleased. It's not a fatal poison, but he'd still rather Will didn't experience it - he's a nice kid, even in this universe. Sort of.

Waving at the guards as he passes, before securing his gauntlet onto one hand.
"Morning," chirpily.

He heads for the courtyard. Hopefully he can get out into Nottingham without too much trouble.

One of them groggily tries to get up but falls over and otherwise things are quiet.
