[Cyrus, someone is staring at you and hard. Look at those yellow eyes glaring at the screen. Look at his body shaking as if he's cold, his mind and heart racing a mile a minute as he reads your entry. He wanted to beat you down, make you feel the pain he had went through while inside that machine. You had broken his trust and now he wants to break you.

But he's afraid, so very afraid. His fear is preventing him from flying over to your room to attack or at the very least speak his mind. You have taken away his will to confront you... and he hates himself for it.

He turn away from the screen and shuts the video off. You may have won this battle, but the war is far from over. He will get you, Cyrus. And you can bet your life on that]

[[Usually he would permit himself a smirk, although he felt no joy in such a thing. It would have been a calculated measure meant to intimadate his opponent. But instead he only stared back at the sudden video feed with empty eyes, feeling only that he had done what was necessary and would continue to do so.]]

And what is accomplished that way? What is gained in the end?

Such limited answers...I speak not of the self at this point, but of the world. The self is transient for most, with only outstandingly rare exceptions, and what remains must go beyond that.

I suppose it's nothing I have to worry about anymore.

Perhaps. Yet those you surround yourself with will know that end someday.

And ghosts are...unusual in that regard. Ghost types can be injured. They are not indestructable...perhaps someday you, too, will pass on.

I can only hope they're appreciating their lives, then.

Hmm. A final rest... I don't think I deserve it just yet.

An end is not a matter of deserving. It is a matter of time.

Surely there were regrets heard from tne dying...and yet to focus on such a thing prevents accomplishment. It is a balance that must be taken to mind.

I have heard that regret leads to alteration...should they survive, that is. Clearly to bemoan ones fate with a dying breath is useless.

So what? If you're gonna die, you're gonna die, and there's nothing that can change that. It's not worth getting your panties all in a knot over it.

So you would not change anything if you knew there was a considerably increased chance that you would perish tomorrow.

If I knew exactly WHEN that might change something, but otherwise, nope!
