John is shaking his head and grumbling about friends of Will's, Atton had been teasing him, but nods to Tristan and Yvaine,
"Right you two, ye're with me and Will, goin' to be ambushin' an gettin' the tax once Robin an the others have drawn the others off. So come on, let's find ye a good place to hide."
"Very pleased to make your acquaintance then," she adds, voice still quiet, arm hooked in Tristran's calmly enough. "Charmed, even - since you would be the one telling us where to be hiding."
Wouldn't want to offend the man finding the hiding places, after all.
"Your what now?" the star whispers briefly, quirking an eyebrow.
She turns her head amusedly, walking a bit quicker, and the slight limp is scarcely noticeable at all. She's rather proud of this.
"Tis better to have a name that makes people underestimate you," she raises the whisper, addressing the grumbling man in front of them, and tugging the corner of her smile firmly between her teeth. "Than to have it the other way around, yes?"
"Will calls me that, milady, now its stuck just cause me last name's Little, bothersome thief that he is."
The grumbling is cut through with a smile, they're friends though at times you'd never know it. And the smile remains as they near the road and he takes them across it to an oak tree that offers fair protection,
"Should work for ye, Robin'll be drawin' the Knight an others off an ye'll 'ear our 'orn lettin' ye know to attack."
Tristran nods, observing their hiding spot - it is certainly a good one.
This, it occurs to him, is possibly one of the strangest and perhaps grandest adventures he's ever been on. After all, how many can say they are about to fight alongside the Merry Men of the Robin Hood tales?
Still, he is careful. Experience has taught him that surprises can appear from just about anywhere.
Her limited range of experience has taught her that things generally want to eat her - but she's rather certain that such knowledge isn't applicable in this case. Which, really, is an improvement of sorts.
She sobers though, eyes darker and more serious, though she whispers a bright, "Sounds good to me." - sliding her hand down Tristran's arm and squeezing his fingers before she lets go.
John nods and moves off, there's a long silence then the tax convoy starts to come into view led by a boasting Knight who Robin taunts from the trees the everything is motion.
A good half of the guards rush after the charging Knight and out of the Green men follow behind them, Will and John look to each other across the trees and then while the other guards are getting more and more nervous with a yell descend from the trees.
There's a rain of crossbow bolts, most fired in panic and barely aimed as the remaining guards try to decide how to fight the famed men of Sherwood.
Well, now. This is admittedly quite exciting, though behind their oak tree, Tristran is holding onto Yvaine a little tighter than usual - especially with the shower of arrows.
Seeing as he has no bow & arrow, he must rely solely on his sword, but from his spot (at the moment), there is no chance at squaring any attacks on anyone just yet.
He waits for a moment, while one guard hurriedly tries to run off through the thick of trees. And that is when Tristran makes his move.
One of the guards yells, "They're in the trees! Guard the tax!"
A couple of men tighten around the cart in the center as fights erupt all around and two of the guards has noticed Tristan and has his sword drawn with a swagger and cruel look,
It looks a lot like the forests back in Faerie, but it feels different. Even, surprisingly, smells different too.
His hand is tight over Yvaine's. There is also an undertone of tension that he can feel.

"Guess ye'll be stayin' with yer man then, lass. Well keep yerself safe since I'll be patchin' ye up. So these two are with ye then, Will?"
A nod from Will, he's a bit nervous about Yvaine being in the fight, but seems no way around it.

Tristran nods to Tuck, then turns back to Will, more or less quiet and observing.

"I do believe that you won't have much to worry about, sir," she replies easily. "I'm not expressly fond of bleeding."

It's all a matter of practicality.

"Well, aye, thank ye lass. What are yer names then, I'm John."
From not too far away, Will adds, "Little John."
And gets a glare from John as he grumbles again.

"My name is Tristran, and this is my - er, this is Yvaine."
