Will had been cooking all day, making his little brother's favorite. Shane never asked for anything, so when he mentioned having a hankering for Will's chili, his big brother had to come through. Will spent the morning mixing his special chili spice blend, chopping onions, tomatoes, peppers, browning meat and getting everything into a pot so he could let it slowly simmer.
Finally, it was dinnertime and Shane would have the first taste. Tears sprang to his eyes, he started coughing, and broke into a sweat.
"Too hot?" Will asked, laughing.
Shane smiled and shook his head. "It's absolutely perfect!"
